VERVE
- Titre : Novel Vehicle Dynamics Control Technique for Enhancing Active Safety and Range Extension of Intelligent Electric Vehicles
- Responsable : Alessandro Correa Victorino
- Type : Projet Européen
- Dates : 2012-2015
Résumé :
The VERVE project is an international joint research project between the UTC in Compiègne (Picardie, France) and the UT Ilmenau (Thuringia, Germany). Its global scientific objective is to develop a new concept of "intelligent electric vehicles (IEV)", contributing in this way to the development of intelligent and environmentally safe new transportation systems in Thuringia and Picardie regions. We intend to find new methods and technologies to increase the autonomy (mileage) of an EV, this will be done by controlling in an intelligent way the management of energy. An IEV need to help the driver in its driving task, then it needs to "see" the lane it is displacing on, others IEV, objects and people, in order to autonomously and safely avoid obstacles, people and keeping its lane. This great challenge is divided in some tasks to be performed jointly by UT Ilmenau and by HEUDIASYC CNRS-UTC.
The scientific objectives of this project are :
Advances in control methods of Mileage Management and Driver Assistance in relation to intelligent electric vehicles (IEV)
Prototyping of an IEV concept with demonstration of intelligent functions of active safety and range extension
Validation and verification of the developed analytical and technological both using simulation technique and under real driving conditions
Development of measures for homologation regulations and monitoring procedures related to the future accreditation of IEVs for use on public roads
The expected results will contribute to the development of this technological new, environmental preserving and safe transportation system in Picardie and Thuringia regions,
followed by the associated economical model opportunities.
