A method for designing multi-agent systems

Developping agent systems is difficult mainly because of the lack of methods for analysis and design. Methods that were developed for object systems are not adpated to cognitive agents. We thus tried to find methods for determining agent characteristics. The GAMETH method, proposed by Grundstein, as a means to determine crucial knowledge inside the enterprise, was extended by de Azevedo for tackling the analysis step. It was used in particular in the MEMOLAB project to analyse the functioning of a research laboratory. The resulting methos was called SAAS.
