WAND : Network Research at the University of Waikato

Résumé :

The WAND Network Research Group has a 20 year history developing new practical networking tools. This talk will present the current generation of network measurement and software defined measurement tools and some of the research that has been performed with them. Libtrace is a library for packet level processing from stored traces and live network capture. A suite of tools are built on top of Libtrace and are widely used. The Active Measurement Project (AMP) is a system for continuous performance measurement and detecting network events. It is finding use in with commercial networks in NZ. Faucet is an SDN controller developed in collaboration with Google and REANNZ that concentrates on simplicity and usability with strong automation support. It is being used for production networks in NZ the US and Japan.
