State of Cities - A Massive, Systematic, Data Powered, Comparative Analysis Of Cities

Jeudi 27 octobre 2016 à 14 h en salle GI016 (Bâtiment Blaise Pascal)

Résumé :

Is there a natural shape for cities ? To answer this basic question, we created a methodology to cluster cities structure using more than 60.000 cities graphs as a data source. Then we use various technics of graph isomorphism to design an algorithm driven study of cities rather than an intuition driven one. In this presentation we detail the various steps of data harvesting and graph isomorphism to cluster large graphs datasets. We will also present methods and data to explain further clustering and possible direct application of such a study to develop new city services.
