  4. The Factorial Example (SC-4 & 5)

The SC-4 and SC-5 Scenarios - Contract-Net

To show the power of the contract net we replay the same example as previously but compute 5! Instead of 4!. We can see on the trabe that the system first initiated 2 Call-For-Bids successively, leading to a better use of the MULTIPLY agents. .

One can see on this simple example that the diagram is not easy to follow without the explanations from the message trace.

The SC-5 scenario is analogous but slightly more complex..
