-graduated in 1985 as an engineer from the [[http://www.enpc.fr/|Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chausses]] in Paris, and earned a PhD from the same institution in 1989I obtained the "Habilitation  diriger des Recherches" from the [[http://www.inpl-nancy.fr/|Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine]] +Thierry Denoeux graduated from [[http://www.enpc.fr/|Ecole des Ponts ParisTech]] and earned a PhD from the same institution. He is currently a Full Professor (Exceptional Class) with the Department of Information Processing Engineering at [[https://www.utc.fr|Université de Technologie de Compiègne]], France. He is the director of the [[https://www.labexms2t.fr|Laboratory of Excellence on “Technological Systems of Systems”]] and the president of the  [[https://bfasociety.org|Belief Functions and Applications Society]]. In 2019he was appointed as a senior member of [[http://www.iufrance.fr|Institut Universitaire de France]]. His research interests concern reasoning and decision-making under uncertainty andmore generally, the management of uncertainty in intelligent systems. His main contributions are in the theory of belief functions with applications to statistical inference, pattern recognition, machine learning and information fusion He is the author of more than [[https://scholar.google.fr/citations?user=JEO5fHoAAAAJ&hl=En|300 papers]] in journals and conference proceedings and he has supervised more than 30 PhD theses. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the [[https://www.journals.elsevier.com/international-journal-of-approximate-reasoning|International Journal of Approximate Reasoning]] (Elsevier), and an Associate Editor of several journals including [[https://www.journals.elsevier.com/fuzzy-sets-and-systems|Fuzzy Sets and Systems]] and [[http://www.worldscinet.com/ijufks|International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems]].
