The goal of the project is to facilitate the inclusion, in school and universities, of visually impaired pupils and students. In some countries the integration of handicapped students in mainstream education has been a general rule for many years. VICKIE project aims at help visually impaired children into the digital age, produce more accessible learning documents, make transparent the written communication, open new ways at co-operation between teachers, take into account Multi-linguality and Cross-culturality, produce a pre-industrial prototype.
