The lab­o­ra­to­ry is focused on three cross-team trans­ver­sal issues:

Managing uncertainties

Giv­en the incom­plete­ness and uncer­tain­ty of mod­els and data when deal­ing with com­plex real­i­ties, the goal here is to dis­cuss the per­for­mance and suit­abil­i­ty of dif­fer­ent frame­works for prob­lems addressed by the teams.

Distributed fusion

In dis­trib­uted sys­tems, the aim is to iden­ti­fy effec­tive meth­ods to main­tain the con­sis­ten­cy and integri­ty of information.

Human interaction

Humans can be viewed as either design or use part­ners of the machine, or as oper­a­tors whose poten­tial errors need to be considered.
